As Program Officer at ACOS, Elisa supports global programs and initiatives that strengthen journalist safety. Her multidisciplinary background combines research, project management, fundraising and grant-making in the fields of journalism and press freedom. Previously, Elisa worked at Investigate Europe, a cross-border journalism cooperative, helping to drive operations, fundraising and external projects. She has also conducted extensive research on media safety as an independent consultant. From 2015 to 2021, Elisa worked at the Open Society Foundations’ Program on Independent Journalism, where she supported civil society organizations working to defend press freedom and protect journalists worldwide. Elisa holds a degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Leeds.
