As Program Manager, Catherine develops and implements ACOS’ global program of activities to help newsrooms and journalists embed a culture of safety within their working practices. Before joining ACOS, Catherine was Products and Operations Manager at Africa Uncensored, a Kenya-based independent media house, where she drove the organisation’s strategic vision and led program delivery across commercial and donor-funded journalism initiatives, while managing newsroom operations. As an investigative journalist and impact producer, Catherine has produced and led teams on 80+ investigative and character-driven documentaries, designed and implemented projects including training on investigative and data journalism, safety in journalism, and media literacy, and has worked with organisations such as Thomson Reuters, BBC Africa Eye, Vogue Magazine, and Discovery Channel. She regularly serves as a juror for awards in journalism, non-fiction, and unscripted storytelling, including the Online Journalism Awards (OJA) and The Realscreen Awards.
