You have been invited to participate in the ACOS Annual Safety Coordination Meeting 2026, which takes place at Shamba Events, Nairobi on 12 & 13 November 2026. We hope you can join us.
ALL attendees MUST pre-register to confirm their place and ensure they receive future communications and updates with essential information about the meeting, including the final programme, timings, transport and other logistics.

Our venue
This year's meeting will take place at Shamba Events, a three-acre retreat located on the grounds of the University of Nairobi's College of Agriculture & Veterinary Science, just a short drive from Nairobi's Westlands district.
Travel to Kenya
Kenya is visa-free for all nationalities. However, most foreign nationals must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before travel. ACOS has partnered with the Media Council of Kenya, one of our local signatories, to produce a letter of invitation to support eTA applications.
Staying in Nairobi
ACOS has partnered with Novotel Nairobi Westlands to offer discounted rates for ACOS Meeting attendees between
7th to 17th November inclusive. These rates begin at $125 per night for a superior room, including breakfast.

About the ACOS Meeting
Every years the ACOS Alliance Annual Safety Coordination Meeting brings together news organizations, NGOs, journalists and editors for creative and candid cross-industry conversations around journalist safety.
This annual event has been instrumental in fostering dialogue, collaboration and innovative solutions to advance a culture of safety within journalism, with a focus on freelancers, local journalists and under-resourced newsrooms.
